Competition Law in Practice Seminars 2024 consists of 13 articles written within the scope of the papers presented at the seminars in the spring term of 2024. The topics of the articles included in this year's book consist of discussions on recent decisions of the Competition Board, the administrative and judicial judiciary, and the European Commission; current developments concerning anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominant position; institutions introduced by the 2020 legislative amendments and the practices of the Competition Authority based on these institutions; competition law issues arising from the use of pricing tools; sector-based competition law analyses; and fundamental debates in competition law. In this context, the book comprehensively addresses many topics such as recent decisions regarding on-site inspections, the expected efficiency and risks of the settlement mechanism in competition law, competition law practices in the pharmaceutical sector, debates surrounding the concept of "technology undertaking" introduced by Communiqué No. 2010/4, competition law issues that may arise from pricing algorithms, compensation claims arising from the violation of competition law, the competition law analysis of personalized pricing, the right to remain silent of undertakings during competition investigations, the examination of dual distribution systems within the scope of competition law, the application of interim measures and recidivism in competition law, computational competition law, and discussions on the concept of unlawful evidence in competition law. Given the significance, diversity, and contemporaneity of the subjects covered in the book, we believe it will serve as a crucial reference source for researchers and practitioners working in the field of competition law.
